Ask the Masters of Harmony
A major part of our "Dedication to Musical Excellence" is our commitment to helping promote the barbershop art form and vocal music in general. The Masters of Harmony has published many different types of articles, handouts and essays on various topics that can be of benefit to singers in general, barbershoppers in particular, music educators, and many others.
The Vocal Education Series, written by Dr. René Torres, is targeted at helping individual singers improve their vocal craft.
The Range Extension & Vocal Strengthening Series, also written by Dr. René Torres, provides a great set of exercises for warming up and strengthening the singing voice.
The Quartet Series, written by Brian Philbin, the bass of Metropolis, covers many topics helpful to those of you who are currently in quartets or are considering forming a quartet.
The The 10 Most Common Problems of Singers, written by Teresa Radomski, an accomplished operatic soloist and Assistant Professor of Voice and Theatrical Singing at Wake Forest University and consultant for the Center for Voice Disorders.
The Copyright Primer for Barbershoppers was written by Dave Briner, a gifted barbershop arranger and long-time copyright expert for the Masters of Harmony.
The Chapter Development Resources section helps build stronger chapters in the Barbershop Harmony Society.
